Nervous System Repair Device - This animation demonstrates an example of the nervous system disorder that can occur with multiple sclerosis. In the first scene of the animation, you will see the problem, the macrophages remove the myelin layer thus interfering with normal conduction impulses. In the last scene you will observe the introduction of the repairing microscopic machine as it repairs the myelin layer and defends against the macrophages. This microscopic medical robot manipulates on the biological scale and has receptors that can interact with the chemicals that control the interactions of other cells, nerve cells, immune cells and cells that nourish like the oligodendrocyte cell.
